阿丽西娅·吉丝
出生并成长于纽约这个民族的大镕炉之中，艾莉西亚天生注定要成为一颗骨l接触钢琴，她拥有深厚的古典音乐背景，也熟悉贝多芬、莫札特及萧邦的音乐，其中萧邦是她的最爱。在古典音乐的基础训练之外，她也非常喜爱爵士传奇人物，像是马力安迈可帕特兰(Marian McPartland)、奥斯卡彼得森(Oscar Peterson) 以及费兹瓦勒 (Fats Waller)等大师的音乐作品。在14岁的时候，她创作出生平的第一首曲子"Butterflyz"，而这首歌也出现在她的第一张专辑“未成年之歌”之中。此外，一些伟大的传奇巨星，像是史提夫汪达(Stevie Wonder)、马文盖(Marvin Gaye)、 妮娜西蒙(Nina Simone)以及唐尼海瑟威(Donny Hathaway)，都是她音乐上创作的灵感来源。而像是Biggie、吐派克 (Tupac)、Jay-Z以及武当帮(Wu Tang)，也都是对她的音乐有影响力及深远启发的创作型艺人；在广泛的涉猎音乐之下，艾莉西亚将所有的音乐形式熔于一体，并发展出属于自己独一无二的音乐态度以及创作形式。
